Sd Kfz 166 Brumbar: Build

Well as stated in a post a week or two ago , I've been busy with a couple of projects on the go. Some near completion and some on the start.

Here is a Dragon Sd. Kfz. 166 early with zimmerite. Build was very laborious with a million parts. Just joking , not for the faint of heart or patience. Once I was on a roll , it went together with no fit issues but had major issues with the directions so dry fitting was a must. The crew compartment will be glued onto the chassis once the painting of all the road wheels and tracks are completed. The only extras added were from the Pz. IV set by Aber and Lion Roar.

 The upper fighting compartment.

The chassis with four runs per side of Dragon magic tracks.

Blue tack used for photo purposes. Road wheels and sprocket need hubs added.

Very nice kit with an almost insane amount of detail. Zimm is extremely well done and very fine . Not a kit you throw together in a weekend.

Road wheel hangers on the rear end were a challenge to clean up and mount.

Sd Kfz 182 Pz. Bef. Wg Tiger Ausf. B :The finish line is on the horizon.

Good day , one and all.

An update on the Ardennes base , almost finished . Some more wet affects and weathering will have to be placed on the monster. Crew is complete , must of changed figures 10 times to get the right feel. Tow cables and aerials need to be added.

Large bamboo skewer placed in middle of base to mount king tiger, tip painted red on top for placement from blind old man.
Ground work coated in Future for that misty mountain feel.
Jack the rabbit has enough of this scene and is in full take off.
Roots , leaves , and a multitude of forest litter.

Styrofoam base with balsa soround. Balsa coated with flat black craft paint.
Placed in stained cigar box bottom.
 Things coming together.

Native bird is checking out the crew.

Almost there , a few hours left of this extensive build and paint, stay tuned.
